F2 Bravo Tekto Knife Review

F2 Bravo Tekto Knife Review

The Tekto F2 Bravo is a light, relatively slim pocket knife made of quality materials for everyday handling and light-duty work. It features ceramic ball bearings, a high end look with titanium accents and D2 steel. On the bottom, it has a window breaker for heavy-duty usage. Overall, the F2 Bravo is a folding knife, a bit more on the mid to high price points, but it makes up for it with quality. I asked them to send me one for hunting season.

Using the F2 Bravo Tekto

The F2 Bravo has an excellent action, it has a thumb stud on the back to quickly deploy it but it doesn’t quite get in the way. When I have it in my pocket, the stud is hard enough that no matter how fast you’re running or what you’re doing it won’t deploy in your pocket. Meanwhile it’s not incredibly hard to open. Fresh out of the box, the thumb stud has quite a good amount of resistance that won’t hurt your fingers too much while providing a long lasting action.

Blade and Edge

Straight out of the box, the knife was incredibly sharp, it passed a multitude of sharpness tests when I fooled around with it. It cut paper and hair with ease and after messing around with it for a bit and cutting things like milk jugs and whatnot, the edge held up just the same as it was out of the box. Expect it to hold up against every day use however keep in mind that it isn’t stainless steel, so don’t keep liquids on your knife for too long.

Short list of Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • Smooth quick deployment
  • Lightweight
  • Luxury feel
  • Excellent edge retention

Cons:

  • Not as corrosion-proof as stainless but pretty good
  • Not fit for heavy-duty use
  • Single-position clip
  • Included carrying case feels a bit cheap

Conclusion

Buy the F2 Bravo if you want a mid priced, light pocket knife with a premium feel good for skinning and everyday use. If you want a knife for heavy use then I would divert to a larger more durable knife instead of a pocket knife.
