The Spectre Ballistics C-71 is an aftermarket 10/22 receiver. It differs from a stock Ruger 10/22 receiver in that:
- The picatinny rail on top is part of the receiver (machined from a block of aluminum).
- The magwell is relieved for TUF22 magazines or 10/22 mags
- Enlarged ejection port
- They come in different colors
This C71 is in an SBI 10/22 chassis (previously reviewed here)
The rail being cantilevered a few slots forward on the receiver is what most shooters will want if they run a scope. I often see Ruger 10/22s at Mapleseed with scopes all the way forward in their rings, but the shooter still needs to move the scope forward for proper eye relief.
The C-71 is cut for TUF22 mags so if you want extended, Canada-legal mags for your 10/22, this is an option.

The only downside I saw on this receiver was that it lacks a magazine ramp. You may want to lightly file a ramp into yours so that 10/22 mags insert smoothly.
