Working on a tight or hard to engage safety
If your safety on your M305 or M14 is tough to engage, make sure the rifle is unloaded, swing the trigger guard up (or down depending on how you’re holding it), slip a pen or whatever into the safety hole, and rip that sucker back and forth until it starts to smooth out.
