MagLula Uplula Mini Review

MagLula Uplula Mini Review

Uplula

Before I picked up my S&W M&P9, I snagged a 10 round magazine locally and had a few days to play around with it. One of the things I quickly figured out is that it was pretty hard on the fingers to reload. The first round was a bit hard to start, the tenth very hard, and everything in between just wore on my fingers very quickly. When I picked up my M&P, I was happy to see that it came with the range kit and a Maglula UpLULA for loading magazines. I thought it was special enough to do a quick mini review on.

Operating the Maglula UpLULA

Operation of the UpLULA is simple once you’ve used it once. The little nub on the side needs to be pulled up to release the mechanism but beyond that, all anyone needs to know to use it is that the metal tongue depresses the follower or rounds down to make room for the next one. I’ve got the operation in images at the bottom of this post, and in video just below.

PS to Smith & Wesson: the S&W M&P is about the hardest product name in the world to search for parts for. Practically none of the forums or stores I searched would support searching for the M&P because the product name was so short and because it included an ampersand (&).
